These are the words of my Acharya, Dr. Subashree Narayanan.

The dedication with which my Acharya teaches her students is commendable. She has worked tirelessly and had to adapt to new teaching methods when I became her student. The unique scenario of having a student like me, with challenges such as age, lack of prior training in any classical form, and no knowledge of music, required her to unlearn and relearn. Despite these obstacles, she has gracefully overcome them all, shaping me in this art form. I deeply appreciate the way she breaks down each step, making it more accessible for me to learn. I am still far from being an expert, and my knowledge of this art form is just a drop in the ocean. Everything I have learned is thanks to my Acharya. Overall, my experience with her has been incredibly unifying.
